Save the Date for the Toy, Game and Technology Summit
Carter Keithley, TIA president, will be a featured speaker during
the Toy, Game
and Technology Summit taking place September 22-23, 2010 in
Santa Clara, California. The one-of-a-kind executive summit will bring
together leaders from the toy, video game and technology industries for
in-depth discussion, cross-industry networking and the opportunity to
generate new business.
The event will highlight how kid, tween and teen entertainment play
patterns are changing — they’re becoming more digital as
they move away from traditional toys and media. New product innovations
such as touch screen devices, smart phones, motion controllers, and
location aware devices are creating new business opportunities to be
explored.
The Summit will stress that it’s imperative that toy companies,
youth entertainment companies and youth brands learn how to integrate
digital technologies into their product lines. On the other hand,
Silicon Valley and the digital video game industry need to better
understand the traditional toy business in order to establish
partnerships and provide the digital "raw materials" necessary to create
the next generation of great youth-focused toy, play and entertainment
products.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with top talent and
leading toy, game and technology executives, gain insights on the myriad
links between traditional and digital toy industries, discover trends in
the online, mobile, console and touch screen realms, and learn about
packaging cross-media deals, securing new funding and partnering with
top executives.
In addition to Mr. Keithley, speakers include Reyne Rice, trend
specialist for TIA; Joseph Olin, president of the Academy of Interactive
Arts & Sciences; Anita Frazier, industry analyst for the Toys &
Video Games NPD Group; and Maria Bailey, CEO of BSM Media, among
others.
TIA members receive a 15% registration discount. Additional information
about the event will be provided in the coming weeks.
