07/27/2010 | TIA Welcomes Legislators at NCSL Annual Summit
The Toy Industry Association (TIA) is continuing to enhance its outreach efforts to state legislators with an exhibit at the National Conference of State Legislatures Annual Summit currently underway in Louisville, Kentucky. The conference, which opened July 25 and runs until July 28, is hosting more than 6,000 state legislators and their staffs from each of the 50 states. It’s an important component of TIA’s state-level advocacy program.

07/13/2010 | Toy Industry Association Congratulates New Jersey Assembly on its Leadership of Children’s Product Safety Awareness
Representatives of the Toy Industry Association (TIA) applauded action taken by the State of New Jersey Assembly on June 28th to unanimously approve AJR32, a new resolution designating November as “Children’s Product Safety Awareness Month.” With its 78-0 vote, New Jersey became the first state to officially designate a timeframe for the recognition of children and safety.

06/29/2010 | TIA to Submit Comments on Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule
In response to a call for public comment issued by the Federal Trade Commission, TIA has developed a consolidated toy industry response on the FTC’s implementation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) through the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule. A complete set of written comments will be submitted on behalf of the toy industry on June 30th.
