Toy Safety Certification Program® Announces Current Roster of Accredited Certification Bodies and Testing Laboratories

The Toy Industry Association (TIA) and its Toy Safety Certification Program® have announced the current roster of Certification Bodies and testing laboratories to be accredited as TSCP participants in the review and certification of toys destined to enter U.S. commerce.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome these world-class certification bodies and testing labs as integral partners in our safety certification program,” said Elizabeth Borrelli, TSCP executive director. “The high level of participation from such highly regarded organizations certainly attests to the momentum that TSCP is gaining within the industry and the confidence that this program will bring to regulators, retailers and consumers.”

The first five (5) Certification Bodies to be accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under ISO Guide 65, International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and TSCP requirements include:

Twenty-five (25) testing laboratories – each with accreditations for the testing of toys under both ISO 17025 and the Consumer Product Safety Commission – are currently authorized by TIA to serve as testing laboratories for the TSCP:

An online roster of current Certification Bodies and testing laboratories is being maintained under the “Resources” section of the TSCP website.  New Certification Bodies and Testing Laboratories will be added on a rolling basis.
