2012 … TAKING TOTY TO THE NEXT LEVEL!

You are invited to join with industry colleagues and friends at the 2012 TOTY awards to celebrate the “Oscars” of the toy industry, honor the most outstanding new toy products to hit the marketplace, salute the industry icons being inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame, and support the inspiring work of the Toy Industry Foundation.

We will be taking TOTY to the next level with an amazing new venue for the awards ceremony in February 2012 … the incredible Alice Tully Hall located on the Lincoln Center campus on NYC’s Upper West Side.

Reservations

The $375 per person event reservation fee includes:

• Sumptuous pre- and post-ceremony receptions (cocktails + dinner and dessert buffets)

• 2012 awards presentation (TOTY winners selected by consumers, retailers, journalists and TIA members)
• Induction of the newest members of the Toy Industry Hall of Fame

Support for the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) is primarily achieved through the purchase of ads in the TOTY Tribute Book and additional “100% tax deductible” financial contributions submitted via the online reservation form.  No portion of the event registration fee directly supports the TIF, and therefore the event reservation fee is not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. 

How does it all come together … ?

More than 500 products were submitted for consideration during the open call for nominations and nearly 50 toy industry experts are staffing the eleven nomination committees formed to select the products that will appear as finalists on the official ballot. [learn more about the process here]

On November 21st, a national press conference in New York City will launch the TOTY ballots, providing a fantastic list of product recommendations just in time for the Holiday 2011 shopping season.  The press conference will also mark the launch of FIVE ballots – one each for Consumers, Retailers (mass and specialty), Media, and TIA members – which will each be weighted and used to determine the TOTY 2012 winners.

The Consumer Voting Website – www.ToyAwards.org – will also go live on November 21st!
The consumer vote not only allows families to weigh in on their favorite toys to help decide the winners, it also helps elevate awareness of all the nominated TOTY products to shoppers across North America!
