01/12/2010 | TIA to Host Full Calendar of Events During Toy Fair Week
Toy Fair 2010 is just about a month away, and to both veteran and first-time attendee alike, the size and scope of this mammoth four-day event presents a “surfeit of riches” in the variety of things to see and do. Not only are there over 20,000 attendees canvassing 350,000 square feet of exhibit space to see over 100,000 products, but there’s also a wide array of events and activities hosted by Toy Industry Association that are sometimes overlooked by Toy Fair attendees.
01/05/2010 | Small Toy Companies Leverage TSCP for Certification to CPSC Interim Enforcement Policies
On December 28, 2009, the CPSC issued an interim Enforcement Policy regarding component testing and certification of children's products and other consumer products to the 90 parts per million (ppm) lead in paint limit and to the 300 ppm lead limit established in Section 101 of the CPSIA. TIA’s Toy Safety Certification Program® (TSCP®) can assist companies with satisfying these CPSC requirements.
11/18/2009 | Toy Safety Certification Program® Announces First Toy Product Certifications
The Toy Industry Association (TIA) announced today the first products to be certified under the newly launched Toy Safety Certification Program® (TSCP), a comprehensive initiative to help assure compliance with the federal Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and enhance the safety of toys sold in the United States. The TSCP was launched on October 1, 2009.
