With the countdown clock sitting at exactly four months,
planning is well underway for the 8th Annual Chicago Toy and
Game Fair (ChiTAG) that will kick off on November 20-21,
2010. Chicago’s famous Navy Pier will once again serve as
host for the nation’s largest “open to the public” toy
and game event outside the hobby category. More than 15,000 fun
seekers will come together to play, try and buy the hottest new toys and
games.
Immediately preceding ChiTAG on November 18 and 19 is the Toy and Game Inventor
Expo, a conference with top industry executives from the U.S. and
abroad. Sessions will cover topics such as licensing, IPR protection,
design and development, production, sales representation and marketing,
retailing in domestic and international markets, and
more.
On Friday evening, November 19th, the Toy and Game Inventor
Awards will honor Excellence in Toy Design, Excellence in Game
Design, a Rising Star Inventor and the Young Inventor of the Year.
Additionally, the Lifetime Achievement, Humanitarian Award and In
Memoriam honors will be bestowed.
Representatives of the industry trade and their families are
encouraged to attend.
TIA will once again serve as a sponsor of the ChiTAG events; members
will be kept apprised as additional information becomes available.
