Reminder: Upcoming TIA Webinars

December 4, 2012 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) would like to remind TIA members and toy industry stakeholders about three upcoming webinars that are being hosted as part of TIA’s Knowledge Network:

  • Toy Fair Freshman Class Webinar will be held tomorrow (Wednesday, December 5) from 1:00 – 2:00 pm (Eastern).

This session will provide first-time Toy Fair exhibitors with a better understanding of how to prepare for and utilize Toy Fair to their advantage. TIA Freshman class advisors and professionals from the official show decorating company, Freeman, will take attendees through the steps every exhibitor should take, from getting booth supplies and product to the show site, to standing apart from other exhibitors.

  • Toy Fair PR Bootcamp: Tips for Developing Your Toy Fair 2013 Media and Promotions Strategies will be held on Wednesday, December 12 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm (Eastern).

American International Toy Fair exhibitor staff involved with public relations, marketing, advertising, and social media promotions are invited to attend this free, one-hour webinar to learn important tools and techniques for building sound media relations strategies. TIA senior management and a representative from Virtual Press Office will arm participants with tips on how to garner media attention before, during and after the show.
  •  Marketing Green Toys: A Review of the New FTC Green Guides and Their Impact on the Toy Industry will be held on Friday, December 14 from 1:30 - 3:00 pm (Eastern).

This webinar will provide participants with a better understanding of how the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) revised Green Guides affect the toy industry. TIA has invited experts from the law firm Keller and Heckman LLP to review the Guides cover topics such as general environmental benefit claims, certifications and seal, recyclable claims, compostable claims and more.

Full descriptions and registration information can be found in the above links to the Knowledge Network section of the TIA website. As with past webinars, each of the presentations will be available on the website post-event for those who are unable to participate live.

Questions from members and industry stakeholders may be submitted in advance to TIA’s Jackie Retzer; to the extent possible, answers to these questions will be folded into the presentation.
