Upcoming TIA Webinars will Cover ‘Green Guides’ and Toy Fair PR Strategies

November 6, 2012 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) invites toy industry stakeholders to participate in two upcoming educational webinars to be held in the coming weeks. The sessions will be hosted as part of TIA’s Knowledge Network – the Association’s year-round educational program that aims to inform and educate members of the toy industry.

• Marketing Green Toys: A Review of the New FTC Green Guides and Their Impact on the Toy Industry will be held on November 16 (2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern). Open to all industry stakeholders and recommended for those who work on toy marketing and advertising initiatives, the webinar will review the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) recent revisions to the Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims (Green Guides) and discuss its implications for the toy industry. The presentation will be given by experts from the law firm Keller and Heckman LLP and will be free for TIA members and $49 for non-members. Advance registration can be completed online. • Toy Fair PR Bootcamp: Tips for Developing Your Toy Fair 2013 Media and Promotion Strategies will take place on December 12 (2:00-3:00 p.m. Eastern). Designed exclusively for American International Toy Fair exhibitors, this webinar will provide important tools and techniques for building sound media relations strategies leading up to the 2013 show, including: how to get noticed by buyers/media and get them excited about your key brands and products; smart and successful ways to use social media and present product and trend information to the media before, during and after the show; and how to capitalize on promotional opportunities available through TIA.
