Draft Agenda Announced for 6th Annual Washington, DC Fly-In
June 11, 2013 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) has announced a draft schedule of activities for its 6th Annual Washington, DC Fly-In, which will bring toy company representatives to the nation’s capital this September to meet with members of Congress and hold discussions on hot button policy issues that impact the U.S. toy industry.
“Each activity, meeting and presentation scheduled throughout the week of events will underscore the toy industry’s unique role in the U.S. economy, our continuous efforts to protect the safety of children at play, and address pending or upcoming laws and regulations that impact toy workers, jobs, market expansion and more,” explained Andy Hackman, TIA vice president of government affairs.
The following draft agenda is an overview of the various meetings and events planned for toy company representatives and senators, representatives and their staffs (subject to change):

Toy Industry Briefing for Congressional Staff
The DC Fly-In is a unique opportunity for companies of all sizes to engage in small group meetings with influential policymakers and strengthen toy industry relationships on Capitol Hill. TIA staff will schedule and plan all meetings and events logistics.
