Last Call: Toy Industry Financial and Operating Benchmark Study Closes April 12

April 9, 2013 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) is reminding members that the 2013 Toy Industry Financial & Operating Benchmark Study will close this Friday, April 12th.  Open to TIA members engaged in the manufacture, importing and distribution of toys, the survey can be confidentially completed free-of-charge online or via hard copy. Those who participate in the study will receive complimentary access to the survey results.

All responses will be returned directly to survey partner Industry Insights and kept in strict confidence. No individual company responses will be shared with TIA or any other person or organization; TIA will receive total industry and aggregated data only.

As previously reported, survey participants will learn how their company’s financial results stack up to industry peers; how their spending on materials, advertising or other expenses compare to those in the same category; and whether their gross margin is better (or worse) than other toy companies of the same size.

Only those member companies involved in the study will have the opportunity to compare their own financial information alongside industry comparative totals and receive an individual “Company Performance Report Card” grading their company on key operating ratios. TIA members who do not participate in the study may purchase the industry aggregate results for $750. Non-member companies will be able to purchase the results for $1,500.

Questions or requests for additional information may be directed to Anne McConnell, TIA director of market research & data strategy (646.520.4870). Specific questions about the survey may be directed to Michael Becher, senior project director of Industry Insights (614.389.2100 ext. 114).
