Leaders Circle Members Help Support Core TIF Programs
September 13, 2013 | Toy industry stakeholders who would like to help bring the magic of play to children in need are invited to join the Toy Industry Foundation’s (TIF) Leaders Circle giving program by annually donating $250 or more to TIF.
The Leaders Circle raises more than a tenth of TIF’s annual budget, making it a critical source of funds for core toy donation and grant programs that help improve the lives of nearly 2 million children each year.
“By making a personal financial contribution to TIF, Leaders Circle donors help keep our programs funded and send an important message to other industry stakeholders: that giving back is important,” said Marisa Medina, TIF manager. “Our Leaders Circle members impact the lives of children in very difficult situations, including those who are homeless, undergoing cancer treatments, or in the foster care system.”
Approximately 100 generous individuals are currently in the Leaders Circle; the Foundation hopes to see this important group expand in order to keep pace with TIF’s growing toy donation and grant-making activities.
Donors may choose to support specific TIF programs and partnerships, such as The Toy Bank toy donation program benefitting children’s charities across the country, or TIF’s national partnerships with CASA for Children (which helps children in foster care) and Boys & Girls Clubs of America Military Services (which serves children of military families).
Joining the Leaders Circle is as simple as making a cash donation of $250 or more to the Toy Industry Foundation online or via regular mail. For more information, contact TIF’s Marisa Medina (646.454.5581).
