PlayCon ’13 to Feature Keynote Speaker from Walmart

March 25, 2013 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) has announced that Scott McCall, senior vice president for toys, seasonal merchandise and celebrations at Walmart, will deliver the keynote session at PlayCon, TIA’s International Conference of Play Professionals. The annual industry educational and networking event will take place from May 6-8, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Mr. McCall launched his career at Walmart in 1993 and has held various executive-level positions at the multinational corporation since that time. During his May 7th keynote session, Mr. McCall will draw on his vast professional experience to provide PlayCon attendees with a unique perspective regarding the future of toy marketing and the retail environment.

A preliminary agenda for the conference is now available online; the following are some program highlights:

Social activities and networking meals will also be held throughout the three-day event, providing attendees with the opportunity to mingle with old friends and rub elbows with important new contacts in a casual atmosphere.

Registration for PlayCon is now open; the sign-up fee provides participants with access to all of PlayCon’s sessions; the event’s opening night dinner on Monday, May 6; breakfast, lunch and a cocktail reception on Tuesday, May 7; and breakfast on Wednesday, May 8.
