REMINDER: Nomination Period for 2014 Toy Industry Hall of Fame Closes June 28

June 18, 2013 | Toy Industry Association (TIA) members and toy industry stakeholders are reminded to nominate deserving candidates for induction into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame. The nomination period is currently open and will close next week on Friday, June 28th. Download the nomination form here. TIA membership is not required to submit a nomination.

Past Hall of Fame inductees are a testament to the creative forces that have shaped the industry and include not only toy company leaders but also influential retailers, inventors and marketers who have made important contributions, such as creating innovative product or marketing approaches; introducing changes in manufacturing processes; promoting public awareness of the toy industry; and serving on the TIA Board of Directors or in other important capacities related to toys and youth entertainment.

The Toy Industry Hall of Fame Committee will meet in July to review the nominations received and to propose a slate of five “living” and three “posthumous” candidates for consideration by TIA members and former Hall of Fame inductees (one vote per organization).

The newest members of the Hall of Fame will join the 62 current members and be honored at an induction ceremony held in conjunction with the 14th annual Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards ceremony on February 15th, 2014.

Additional information on the Toy Industry Hall of Fame is available online. Questions and completed nomination forms should be directed to TIA’s Stacy Leistner (646.520.4858) by June 28th.
