June 9, 2013 |The Toy Industry Association (TIA) is reminding industry stakeholders of an upcoming TIA Knowledge Network webinar that will examine how today’s families make decisions regarding toy and game purchases. Registration for members and non-members is now open.
Taking place on June 20th from 3 to 4 p.m. (Eastern), the educational session will feature research from The Family Room’s “Toy and Game Decision Making Report.” Commissioned by TIA, the fact-based study draws from 2,600 recent surveys with moms, dads and kids nationwide to uncover family habits regarding planning toy purchases and shopping in-store.
During the webinar, The Family Room’s George Carey, CEO, and Hillary Newton, senior vice president of Research and Brand Strategy, will address the following topics:
- The changing ways that families make decisions about toy and game purchases
- Which decision-making styles are most prevalent
- Different paths to purchase
- The critical impact of consumer behaviors on marketing, branding, packaging, merchandizing and in-store experiences.
Background information on the study’s objectives and methodology are available for participants to review prior to the webinar.
Advance registration for TIA members (free) and non-members ($49) is required. While the session is open to all, it is specifically recommended for staffs that share responsibility for marketing, sales, merchandising, packaging, design and research. Questions may be submitted in advance; to the extent possible, answers will be folded into the presentation. As with other TIA webinars, the session will be recorded and available post-event for those who are unable to participate live.
TIA’s Jackie Retzer (646.454.5587) may be contacted for additional information.
