Save the Date – May 14-15: TIA’s Third Annual California Toy Day

February 19, 2013 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) announced today that it will hold its Third Annual California Toy Day this spring in Sacramento, CA. The event is free and open to all toy industry stakeholders.

From May 14-15, 2013, toy manufacturers, importers and distributors that are based in California – or those who simply have business interests in California – will join together with the state’s most influential decision-makers to discuss the key issues and concerns that the toy industry will face in 2013.

California is regularly at the forefront of legislative and regulatory activity that impacts the toy industry.  More than 20% of TIA’s members are located in the state; collectively, toy companies, retailers, wholesalers and distributors account for an estimated 91,173 jobs in California, business taxes in excess of $2.45 Billion and a total economic impact of $11.1 Billion.

TIA staff will schedule and coordinate all meetings and events as well as coordinate meals and ground transportation; a block of hotel rooms will be arranged at the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento for a negotiated rate.

Registration, agenda and hotel details will be made available on the TIA website in the coming weeks.

Questions may be directed to Jennifer Gibbons, TIA director of state government affairs (916.594.9432) or Andy Hackman, TIA vice president of government affairs (202.459.0356).
