September Webinars: Customs and Border Protection Enforcement’ and ‘Ohio Stuffed Toy Registration and Fee Program’

  • Beyond the Ports: Customs and Border Protection Enforcement

    2 – 3 p.m. (Eastern)

    This one-hour session will cover U.S. Customs and Border Protections (CBP) ‪enforcement and trade facilitation, as well as provide tips on how to streamline the importation of products during the upcoming holiday season. The webinar is specifically recommended for staff responsible for logistics, trade and safety or quality compliance, as well as others who would like to know more about how the CBP and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) staff are targeting products for inspection at U.S. ports.  Representatives from the CBP will lead the educational session and will be on hand to answer participants’ questions. 
  • Final Requirements Review: Ohio Stuffed Toy Registration and Fee Program

    2 – 2:30 p.m. (Eastern)

    This 30-minute webinar will give plush product manufacturers an overview of key changes to the Ohio Stuffed Toy Registration and Fee Program.  Specifically recommended for companies that sell stuffed plush products, the webinar will be led by the chief bedding inspector in the Division of Industrial Compliance at the Ohio Department of Commerce (DoC). The session will supply participants with information about phase-in deadlines for the new fee schedule, new reporting forms and registration updates, and Ohio State DoC key contacts and resources. Questions for either webinar may be submitted in advance; to the extent possible, answers will be folded into the presentation. As with other TIA webinars, the session will be recorded and available post-event for those who are unable to participate live.
