TIA Expands Trend Tracking Services to Help TIA Members in Product Development and Promotion
July 23, 2013 | As an added benefit for its members, the Toy Industry Association (TIA) has announced that it will expand its current consumer-focused toy trend tracking efforts to include research that will help TIA members stay abreast of developments in industries that can influence the world of toys and games.
“Trends seen in the areas of fashion, food, books, gaming, technology, retail, design and décor, and more will help our members as they develop new product lines, enhance the retail experience, and attract new consumers,” said Stacy Leistner, TIA vice president of strategic communications. “This supplemental trend information will be especially useful to small- and mid-sized member companies that do not have the time or resources to subscribe to costly trend-tracking services.”
The new trend-tracking resources are a complement to the Association’s expanding portfolio of research, data and trend information for TIA’s members.
To date, TIA experts have visited and written special reports for members on the Book Expo, Fancy Food Show, and TexWorld USA outlining the next “it” foods and characters, as well as manufacturing and merchandising trends that will likely influence the toy industry.
Reports on trends in parallel or influential industries can be viewed in the “Trends” section of the TIA website. TIA members will be notified as new reports become available.
