TIA to Launch First Congressional District Coffee Week

June 25, 2013 | The Toy Industry Association is set to launch its first Congressional District Coffee Week, aimed at connecting toy companies with their Congressional representatives to discuss the toy industry’s vital contribution to local economies, as well as the impact federal policy decisions have on real people and companies.

A significant addition to TIA’s grassroots advocacy initiatives, Congressional District Coffee Week will be held Monday, August 19th through Friday, August 23rd. The program is scheduled to coincide with Congressional summer recess, when U.S. Senators and Representatives return to their districts to meet with constituents.

TIA will facilitate all the details of scheduling of these private meetings for Congressional and industry participants. The Association will also provide background documents on industry issues and other briefing materials. These meetings offer toy companies of all sizes the opportunity to deliver critical messages directly to their representative and show the importance of the toy industry in the U.S.

Registration will open later this week. For more information regarding Coffee Week, contact TIA’s Rachel Hedge (202.459.0351).
