NEW YORK, NY | April 30, 2013 – The Toy Industry Association (TIA), the not-for-profit trade association representing all businesses involved in creating and bringing toys and youth entertainment products to kids of all ages, has announced that Kenneth Ebeling will join TIA as vice president of strategic development and member services. Effective May 1, 2013, Mr. Ebeling will have overall responsibility for developing and executing strategies that will create and deliver enhanced value propositions to all TIA members.

Previously, Mr. Ebeling held the title of senior vice president of membership development for the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), where he worked for more than 20 years. “We are pleased to welcome Ken to TIA’s senior management team in this newly created position,” stated Carter Keithley, TIA president. “His long experience in association membership services will help to fulfill our objective of providing great value to each of our diverse member types, and his exceptional talent will help foster our engagement with members on key toy industry issues so that we can best meet their needs.”

Immediately following college, Mr. Ebeling was recruited as a linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals professional football team, and then pursued a brief career as an educator. In 1984, he joined DMA as a new member account executive and was subsequently promoted through a number of roles to his most recent post as senior vice president of membership development. As SVP, he oversaw multiple areas including business development, special interest councils, program management, and member communications management.

“I am delighted to be joining the Toy Industry Association and am looking forward to working with the toy community to help TIA deliver an exceptional member experience,” stated Mr. Ebeling.

Mr. Ebeling lives in Mahwah, NJ and is the father of four children. He holds a degree in economics from Colgate University and an MBA from Fordham University.
