Inventors and Designers Invited to 10th Annual “Creative Factor” Program at Toy Fair

Classes, Panels and Demos to cover 3D Printing, U.S. Patent Laws & More

February 10, 2014 | To help nurture and support the creative spirit of the toy industry, Toy Fair offers free and focused programming for inventors and designers under the banner of its Creative Factor drop-in learning series. 

Celebrating 10 Years

Creative Factor will host a cocktail reception at the Javits Center on Monday, February 17 at 5:30 p.m. Open exclusively to inventors, designers and others in the creative community, the reception will celebrate the program’s 10th year at Toy Fair.

Hosted by the Toy Industry Association (TIA) and led by Brett Klisch, owner of Drink Preservers LLC, Creative Factor classes, panels and demonstrations will be held daily at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. from Sunday, February 16 through Tuesday, February 18 at Booth 4872 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

Initially geared towards sculpting and prototyping demos on the show floor, Creative Factor programming has grown significantly since it was launched a decade ago. Presentations at Toy Fair 2014 will cover a range of topics pertinent to creative entrepreneurs, including: utilizing 3D printing for toy production, managing a successful Kickstarter campaign, navigating U.S. patent laws, and techniques for marketing new products.

Creative Factor offers up a cadre of seasoned professionals who are on-hand to help people that are new to the business to seasoned professionals discover new tools and techniques for developing great product,” said Klisch. “I’m proud to say that we have a really supportive network of people who are always happy to answer any questions that people may have in their quest to expand their networks and abilities.”
