K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers Spotlights Toy Industry Foundation Partnership at Women in Industry Luncheon
June 3, 2014 | K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers spotlighted their partnership with the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) today during their Women in Industry Luncheon at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. The event was attended by hundreds of executives across a range of industries, including fashion, entertainment, real estate and philanthropy.
As the official logistics partner of TIF’s Toy Bank, K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers has been working with TIF since 2009 to provide approximately $35 million in toys to a vast network of children’s charities nationwide. Last year, K.I.D.S/Fashion Delivers helped TIF commemorate the 10th anniversary of The Toy Bank by assisting with the first-ever, single-day national toy distribution to half a million children in need across all 50 states.
“We are so appreciative of K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers’ ongoing commitment to our shared mission of bringing the magic of play to millions of children, whether they are sick, impoverished, suffering or otherwise in need,” said TIF Executive Director Jean Butler in her remarks at the event. “It would be impossible for us to deliver toys to millions of children in need every year without their partnership. They have enriched the lives of many deserving kids.”
In April 2014, Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) merged with Fashion Delivers to better serve families in need. K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers fights poverty and tragedies by working with companies and community nonprofit partners to deliver the gift of new products – including toys, apparel, accessories, shoes, home furnishings, books, school supplies and other items – to people in need around the world.
