Reminder: Jan. 16 Webinar on Export Opportunities in Brazil and China
January 7, 2014 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) is reminding industry stakeholders of an upcoming webinar entitled “Expanding the Global Toy Marketplace: What U.S. Toy Companies Should Know About Entering Brazil and China,” taking place on Thursday, January 16th from 2 to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern).
The webinar will provide participants with highlights from TIA-commissioned research on opportunities, obstacles and key success factors for expanding distribution into the Brazilian and Chinese toy markets. Alexis Martin of Altios International and Philippe Guinaudeau of Kidz Global will discuss research findings (e.g., market demographics and trends; consumer behavior; ideal target product categories, audiences and retail channels; and market access conditions) in order to help companies better understand the markets, how best to position their product lines, and ways to develop sound market entry strategies.
Information on the Brazilian market will be explored from 2 to 2:45 p.m., followed by a parallel discussion on China from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m.
“This webinar will give companies a high-level view of the quantitative intelligence offered in the full reports, which will serve as valuable resources for companies looking to enter the increasingly important toy markets in Brazil and China,” said Anne McConnell, TIA’s director of market research and data strategy, who will serve as the webinar’s moderator.
Research reports will be made freely available to TIA members following the webinar.
Questions from members and industry stakeholders may be submitted in advance
of the webinar; to the extent possible, answers to these questions will be discussed during the presentation.
The webinar will be free for TIA members and $49 for non-members. Advance registration can be completed online. As with other TIA webinars, the session will be recorded and available post-event for those who are unable to participate live.
