TIA Speakers and Networking Opportunities at the Nuremberg Toy Fair

January 19, 2016 | Alan Kaufman, Toy Industry Association (TIA) senior vice president of Technical Affairs will be a featured speaker January 29th at the Nuremberg Toy Fair’s annual Toy Safety Update. Mr. Kaufman will deliver “The Latest News From The Other Side Of The Pond” and inform international attendees of updated U.S. standards and federal and state legislative activity. 

The Toy Safety Update will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and provides developments related to toy safety laws and regulations in Germany, Europe and the U.S. Additional presentations will include “Criminal Risks of Placing Toys Containing Hazardous Substances on the Market” and “An Overview of the Latest European Initiatives Regarding Chemicals in Toys.” Register for the free seminar by January 25th by contacting info@dvsi.de .

Members interested in India’s business potential are encouraged to attend the Kids India event on January 28th at 6 p.m. The presentation will provide first-hand information about the Kids India program in Mumbai and the hopeful Indian toy market, with a networking gathering afterward. 

In September 2015, TIA’s Kids India fact-finding excursion was led by Ed Desmond, executive vice president of External Affairs, and Marian Bossard, senior vice president of Global Market Events. Both will be in attendance and encourage members to contact them in advance of the evening event, or for questions about TIA’s Kids India involvement in the fall.
