Toy Industry Association Publishes Annual Report

July 25, 2016 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA), the not-for-profit trade association representing all businesses involved in creating and bringing toys and youth entertainment products to kids of all ages, has announced that its 2015 Annual Report is now available online.

TIA experienced a groundbreaking year, advocating for federal legislation to reform the outdated Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), which was recently signed into law by President Obama; prevailing over new legislative challenges at the state and local levels; and increasing the positive impact of the industry-wide Genius of Play campaign. The Association also grew and strengthened its go-to-market events – Fall Toy Preview and Toy Fair – and saw members bring the gift of play to 1.1 million children in need through the Toy Industry Foundation.

In 2015, TIA grew its membership base to a record-breaking 987 companies. As part of its ongoing commitment to delivering excellence to member companies of all sizes, the Association expanded its educational resources to include webinars, white papers, market entry reports, and more. TIA leadership also led town hall member meetings across the nation, connecting face-to-face with constituents to assess their evolving needs.

“2015 was an outstanding year for sales growth among our members that also saw a range of successes for the Toy Industry Association,” said TIA President & CEO Steve Pasierb. “We continue to be grateful for the enthusiastic support of our members as we work to be a unifying force for their creativity, responsibility and global success, advocating for their needs and championing the benefits of play.”

TIA regular members who would like to become more involved in helping to set the strategic direction of the Association are encouraged to submit nominations for qualified candidates to serve on one of TIA’s policy committees.
