Toy Industry Foundation Collecting Toys for Kids in Need at Fall Toy Preview

September 22, 2016 | Exhibitors at Fall Toy Preview have the ability to stretch their charitable legs and bring smiles to thousands of deserving children by donating their toys and games to children in need.

Once again, the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF), the official charity of Fall Toy Preview, will be collecting playthings from exhibiting toy companies at the close of the show, which this year falls on Thursday, September 29. These toys and games will be distributed to thousands of underserved children within the Dallas area during the holiday season.

“Last year, TIF collected more than 15,000 toys worth more than $200,000 for local children in need,” said Elizabeth Max, TIF program manager. “Many Dallas-area children are living in less-than-ideal situations. The donated toys will bring joy, laughter and smiles to them during the holiday season, but we need the collective toy industry’s help to make this year’s collection even more robust.”

In partnership with World Vision, all donated toys will be delivered to carefully vetted local children’s charities. Toys and games will benefit children fighting poverty, abuse, neglect, and illness, among other forms of adversity.

At the close of Fall Toy Preview, volunteers in orange Toy Bank shirts will be circulating the show floor promptly at 5 p.m. on Thursday to pick up donated products. If interested, be sure to fill out a donation form and return to the TIF Booth #12-2300 at the Dallas Market Center during show hours.
