President’s Letter: Doing Business at Play Fair in NYC – a Must-Visit Destination for Families & Fans

October 17, 2017 | Calling all toy companies and toy people!  Get ready for Play Fair 2017 – an event like no other – taking place in the heart of New York City this November!

The Toy Association’s annual business-to-consumer event is for the first time being held during peak toy selling season, making it our industry’s most ambitious platform for connecting with kids, families, and toy lovers of all ages in the world’s most influential media market. Play Fair is quickly growing into a must-visit destination for families, as well as a collective celebration of the magic and fun created by the toy and youth entertainment industry.  What a great way to bring brands and products to life!

Play Fair 2017 promises to be spectacular, starting with a special industry- and media-only preview night on Friday, November 3 that will give press and industry insiders advance access to Play Fair before it officially opens as well as a first-look at the Toy of the Year (TOTY) Award finalists, which will be unveiled that evening.

Play Fair will then open to the public on Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5, with an exciting line-up of interactive activities – including toy unboxings, live shows featuring popular brands and characters, celebrity meet-and-greets, and even more over-the-top experiences.

As a B2C platform, Play Fair is unparalleled. Our inaugural event drew a sold-out crowd of more than 20,000 toy enthusiasts combined with a flood of social and news media coverage, and this year’s Play Fair will more than triple in size with an expanded 230,000 square feet of space. It offers your company limitless opportunities to create memorable and shareable experiences for families, and it’s not too late to get on board! Join Spin Master, LEGO, Hasbro, Moose Toys, Alex Brands, VTech/Leapfrog, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Snazaroo, WowWee, Magformers and many more brands that have exciting activities planned.

I also encourage you to bring your own friends and family to Play Fair on Saturday or Sunday to help celebrate the industry we love.  After all, can you think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than with a fun-filled event for every kid – and kid-at-heart? Get your tickets for Saturday and Sunday at and reach out to your Toy Association contact if you can join on Friday for the complimentary private preview night.

Follow the event on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to stay on top of all the only-at-Play Fair activities.

I look forward to seeing you in November!

All good wishes,
