Registration Now Open for PlayCon 2018

December 11, 2017 | Registration is now open for PlayCon 2018, The Toy Association’s International Conference of Play Professionals, which will bring together toy, play, and youth entertainment professionals for two days of actionable and inspirational content and networking with industry peers.

PlayCon 2018 is taking place May 8 to 9 at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco, CA. After taking a hiatus in 2017, the now biennial conference will have a new format featuring short, digestible presentations and interactive workshops. With the theme #PlayForward, PlayCon will feature a host of thought-leaders, industry analysts, toy influencers, consumer product executives, and other experts in the play space who will present content on four pillars: Opportunities & Growth, Creativity, Innovation, and Inspiration.

Attendees will be also able to take advantage of a variety of hotel options and “walkable” experiences to complement the conference’s lively atmosphere. Following the first day of sessions, conference participants can relax and join their peers at an evening networking party at SPiN – San Francisco’s iconic ping-pong club.

As San Francisco offers a myriad of hotel options, PlayCon2018 will not have an official hotel; instead, attendees are encouraged to choose accommodations that best fit their budgets and overall interests. The Toy Association recommends several nearby hotels; however, attendees are by no means limited to those options.

“PlayCon’s refreshed format will allow for more engaging information to be presented, more forward-thinking speakers to share their knowledge, and more idea-generating amongst attendees,” says Marian Bossard, The Toy Association’s executive vice president of global market events. “As the industry grapples with what the future of play will look like, we wanted to move PlayCon forward so that industry professionals, from managers and directors to C-suite executives, can leave the event brimming with ideas to help them build their businesses – all while visiting a fabulous city.”
