December 12, 2017 | There is still time for Toy Association members to register for a free webinar detailing recent changes made to several state chemical reporting laws for children’s products.
Taking place December 14 at 2 p.m. (Eastern), the one-hour webinar, “2017 Updates to U.S. State Chemical Laws,” will provide members with an overview of key requirements and deadlines for Washington state’s Children’s Safe Products Act (CPSA), Oregon’s Toxic Free Kids Act (TFKA), Maine’s Kid’s Safe Products Act, Vermont’s Chemicals Disclosure Program (CDP), and chemical restriction laws in three New York counties: Albany, Suffolk, and Westchester.
The session will be led by The Toy Association’s Jennifer Gibbons, vice president of government affairs, and Matt Lenz, director of state government affairs. They will be joined by Tina Schaefer, research and policy analyst in the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Hazardous Waste & Toxics Reduction Program, and Andy Hackman, a consultant with Serlin Haley LLP and member of the Vermont Chemicals Working Group.
All Toy Association members are invited to participate; however, the webinar is specifically recommended for quality control professionals, compliance officers, and chemical program managers.
As always, a recording of the session will be made available for members who register but are unable to participate live. For more information about this webinar, contact Anne McConnell, The Toy Association’s senior director of market research and data strategy.
