Upcoming Webinars: Learn How to Promote Your Brand with Social Media, Pitch Buyers & More

December 10, 2018 | The Toy Association is hosting several upcoming webinars free for Toy Fair exhibitors on pertinent topics including social media 101, how to pitch to retail buyers, and how to hone social media strategies to promote brands and products at the show. Registration is open for all sessions.

  • During "Toy Fair 2019: Social Media 101 for Toy Companies,” taking place on January 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. (Eastern), companies will learn how to use social media platforms to drive brand awareness and support product sales. Betsy Smith, president of digital marketing agency Allin Smith and session presenter, will explain which platforms really matter for toy companies, how to create a content strategy plan, and what options there are for targeted social media advertising. Over the past 10 years, Smith has helped toy companies and organizations launch dozens of products and parent-focused campaigns including The Genius of Play, The Toy Association’s initiative to raise the awareness about the developmental benefits of play.
  • Smith will present a second webinar titled, “Toy Fair 2019: How Companies Can Leverage Social Media at Toy Fair,” on January 17 from 2 to 3 p.m. (Eastern), in which she will provide companies with tips for cutting through the noise at Toy Fair by engaging show attendees and maximizing social media platforms to promote products and brands by thinking beyond just issuing a press release.
  • As a reminder, companies are invited to attend “Pitch Like a Pro: How to Present to Retail Buyers,” taking place this Thursday (December 13) at 2 p.m. (Eastern), where attendees will learn the art of approaching and talking with retail buyers and how to perfect the short pitch. The one-hour webinar will be presented by Leila Nosrati, a retail sales and merchandising coach and principal of consulting firm Master Toy Advisors.

“Our goal in providing these webinars is to help companies make Toy Fair as productive and successful as possible for them,” said Kimberly Carcone, vice president of market events at The Toy Association. “With the hundreds of thousands of toys and games on display at Toy Fair, brands need to stand out from the crowd. These expert-led sessions will share valuable information and suggestions and we encourage all exhibitors to participate.”

The sessions are free and open to all Toy Fair exhibitors and Toy Association members. Contact Anne McConnell, senior director of market research and data strategy at The Toy Association, with questions regarding these webinars.
