The Genius of Play Busts Summer Boredom, Promotes Member Toys

genius-of-play-summer-boredom-bustersSeptember 27, 2019 | Thousands participated in The Genius of Play ’s Summer Boredom Busters giveaways, which ran from mid-June through mid-September, resulting in a 28 percent increase in Instagram followers and building on the momentum of last spring’s Play All May campaign.

The promotion engaged Facebook and Instagram audiences with fun challenges, including “Caption This” contests and puzzles. The posts also highlighted products from Toy Association members along with their play benefits. Each week, a giveaway of toy prizes was awarded to lucky winners for each channel.

The program drew more than 10,000 unique engagements and upwards of 650,000 social media impressions across Instagram and Facebook.

"Our latest initiative offered yet another way to shine a spotlight on Toy Association members’ products, while promoting the benefits of playtime and engaging families during the summer,” said Anna Yudina, director of marketing initiatives at The Toy Association. “The Genius of Play is constantly looking for new ways to inspire parents and kids to incorporate play into their daily routine, and we’re happy to see the results of our latest digital effort."

The Genius of Play will continue to underscore the importance of play this holiday season in its second annual Genius Play Pix program, featuring more member product.
