First-Time Exhibitors to Showcase Cutting-Edge Toys & Games in Toy Fair’s ‘Launch Pad’

February 4, 2019 | Looking to explore innovative and original takes on toys and games while at Toy Fair New York? More than 100 new companies will debut their products in a dedicated area (Hall 1E) of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, named the “Launch Pad.” The area will house first-time Toy Fair exhibitors including up-and coming toy inventors and international companies interested in expanding their products to the U.S. who will be showcasing inventions and products in hopes to spark lucrative deals.

“Toy Fair’s Launch Pad has proven a terrific place for influential retail buyers and media to discover never-before-seen product from inventors just getting started as well as established companies exhibiting at Toy Fair for the first time,” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at the Toy Association, the trade group that produces Toy Fair. “Toys and games being featured in this area are wonderful examples of the novel and exciting perspectives shaping the future of play. We encourage everyone at the show to take a few minutes and walk the Hall 1E area – you won’t be disappointed.”

Retailers exploring the Launch Pad will have access to toys and games from exhibitors representing 17 countries, including Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

As the largest toy, game, and youth entertainment marketplace in the Western Hemisphere, Toy Fair will feature hundreds of thousands of toys and games from both new and veteran toymakers across a whopping 447,000 net square feet of exhibit space. A total of 30 countries will be represented by exhibitors at Toy Fair.

To date, buyer delegations from 22 of the top 25 toy sellers representing the $27 billion U.S. toy industry have registered for Toy Fair, including Walmart, Target, Amazon, and Kohl’s. Toy Fair also attracts a sizable number of specialty buyers in search of eye-catching toys, creative products, and educational playthings that will draw shoppers to their stores.
