Basic Fun! Signs Master Toy Licensing Deal for Care Bears, Secures Rights to License Tonka Brand
Basic Fun! has been awarded the master toy rights in North America and the United Kingdom for the Care Bears brand from IP property owner Cloudco Entertainment, LLC, and plans a new and unique line of products for today’s kids that will feature interactivity, collectability, and playability – with an emphasis on sharing and caring. Basic Fun! will debut the new Care Bears line to key customers at Toy Fair Dallas in October and to the broader trade at Toy Fair New York in February 2020, and will have product on shelf in the second half of 2020 throughout North America and the UK. Basic Fun! also announced an agreement in principle with Hasbro, Inc. for the Tonka brand. Basic Fun’s new line of Tonka trucks is expected to launch at global retailers in fall 2020 and will feature the classic steel Tonka Trucks, die-cast range, and traditional plastic lights and sounds products.

Funrise Announces Licensee Partners for Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty™
Funrise, Inc. announced licensees in a wide range of product categories for the company's animated series, Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty™. The categories include apparel, accessories, bedding, stationery, party goods, costumes, and more complementing Funrise's own Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty toy line launching in the fall.

Goliath Games to Distribute and License Magic Box Int Toys’ Superzings®
Magic Box Int Toys, S.L.U., best known as the force behind the classic collectible Gogo’s Crazy Bones, announced that they have chosen Goliath to be their American, Australian, French, and Benelux partners for Superzings. Superzings is the top-selling boys collectible in Spain and the fastest growing new boys collectible in the United Kingdom. Toys will launch in the U.S. in the fourth quarter, with licensed products coming in the fall of 2020.

Hasbro Teams Up with Wicked Cool Toys to Bring Iconic Micro Machines Back to Store Shelves in 2020
Hasbro, Inc. has appointed Wicked Cool Toys as global master toy licensee for Micro Machines. Micro Machines, a collectible component style "playset" and miniature vehicles, originally became a hit in the mid-1980s. The original Micro Machines line was made by Galoob, which is now part of Hasbro, and included popular model cars and trucks, emergency vehicles, motorcycles, and airplanes. The new line of Micro Machines is expected to hit store shelves in the fall of 2020.

Jazwares Collaborates with Sony Pictures Consumer Products for Musical Toy Line Based on Upcoming Movie, Vivo, with Songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda
Jazwares announced its collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products as the master toy licensee for Vivo, the anticipated animated musical movie featuring 11 songs written by Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda, coming to theaters November 2020. Jazwares is a category leader in real musical instruments scaled for kids through its wholly owned subsidiary, First Act. Jazwares’ toy line will hit shelves in the fall of 2020 at retailers around the world featuring figures, playsets, plush, and a line of First Act musical instruments.

Mattel Announces International Licensing Agreement with Sanrio Featuring Hello Kitty
Mattel, Inc. has partnered with Sanrio, Inc. to design and develop a wide array of toys, dolls, playsets, games, puzzles, baby gear, plush, vehicles and other products inspired by Hello Kitty & Friends and Hello Kitty Cafe, as well as a range of characters in the Sanrio portfolio. The toy lines and games will available in North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand beginning in fall 2020.

Moose Toys Launches Two New Boy Lines this Summer
Moose Toys will introduce Treasure X Aliens and Heroes of Goo Jit Zu in July. Treasure X Aliens is an extension of the core Treasure X line. Treasure X Aliens invites kids to get their hands gooey while performing an oozy alien dissection to free the collectible treasure hunter trapped inside and reveal a special treasure. Heroes of Goo Jit Zu combines compound play with action figures, focusing on a band of zoo animals that mutated into heroic fierce fighters and smashed their way out of the zoo to defend the city from a gang of baddies. The characters are filled with sand, faux teeth or bones, glitter and goo, and can be squished, stretched, and smashed in every direction.

WowWee Launches Blind Collectible Accessory: Lucky Fortune
WowWee announced the U.S. retail launch of their newest brand, Lucky Fortune, a line of blind box, collectible charm bracelets. Each bracelet has a “lucky” charm and comes in a toy fortune cookie along with a paper fortune. The line features over 100 trendy charms spanning different categories and varying levels of rarity, including the extra-rare gold dipped charm for ultra-luck. Kids can trade their charms with friends, gift a bracelet, and collect them all. WowWee will also launch an all-new YouTube series featuring Sophia Pippen called Just My Luck. Each episode will cover issues for tweens including tough classes, crushes, bullying, and family disagreements that are always resolved in a fun, unexpected way.
