Register Now: Two New Webinars Presenting Global Expansion Research on Brazil & China

May 7, 2019 | The Toy Association will host two webinars in May to provide an analysis of global market research highlighting Brazil and China to help companies decide whether to expand their businesses to these markets.

Global Market Expansion: What U.S. Companies Should Know about Entering Brazil” will take place Wednesday, May 29 from 2 to 3 p.m. (Eastern), and “Global Market Expansion: What U.S. Companies Should Know about Entering China,” will take place Thursday, May 30 from 2 to 3 p.m. (Eastern). Registration is now open for both sessions.

During the webinars, Anne McConnell, The Toy Association’s senior director of market research & data strategy, will provide an overview of each country’s demographics and business environment. The Toy Association commissioned Kidz Global, a market research and consulting firm specializing in child, teen, and family-oriented consumer markets around the world, to prepare the consumer preferences portion of the research. Kidz Global CEO Philippe Guinaudeau will discuss relevant consumer insights including kids’ daily routines and their digital activities, play trends, popular entertainment brands among kids, pocket money trends, and more.

“Brazil is the largest economy in South America with a population of more than 200 million – 45.7 million of whom are kids 0 to 14 years old. China is the world’s most populous country with nearly 1.4 billion people living there and over 236 million kids 0 to 14 years old,” McConnell said. “These sessions are meant to explore both countries and their specific cultural preferences, business environments, and market demographics to help growing companies gauge whether their brands and products are a good fit in these regions.”

The sessions are free for Toy Association members; non-members will be charged a $49 fee per session participation. The webinars are recommended for those responsible for international business development, sales, marketing, and research. The sessions reprise presentations made at Toy Fair New York.
