New COVID-19 Webinar Recording: Reopening Businesses & New Funding Options

covid-19-webinarsApril 27, 2020 | A recording of the April 24 webinar providing early guidance on what companies may be required to do to ready their businesses for reopening is now available to Toy Association members.

During the session, Ed Desmond, executive vice president of external affairs at The Toy Association provided an update on the newly passed Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Health Care Enhancement Act, which provides much-needed financial relief for small businesses, including $320 billion in additional funding for the PPP.

Ron Eidshaug, vice president of congressional and public affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, then presented on how companies can start preparing to allow employees back to work based on federal, state, and local guidance and what this may look like. Members of The Toy Association’s external affairs team, including vice president of state government affairs Jennifer Gibbons and directors of state government affairs Matthew Lenz and Mindy Baker, also provided an overview of likely steps key states will take to begin reopening businesses.
