Exclusive Member Opportunity to Be Featured During "Play All May"

March 5, 2020 | Looking to be featured in The Genius of Play’s second annual Play All May month-long celebration of play? Toy Association member companies are invited to join the fun by submitting products to be featured in daily giveaways during the month of May.

"The success of our inaugural Play All May celebration last year demonstrated that today’s parents and teachers appreciate the value of play for kids’ development and overall well-being," said Ken Seiter, executive vice president of marketing communications at The Toy Association. "But play isn’t just for kids; multiple studies show a positive correlation between being playful and life satisfaction in kids and adults alike. Look out for ideas that facilitate play between generations and bring out the kid in all of us throughout the month!"

Every day in May, The Genius of Play will feature products produced by member companies on its social media channels and award daily prizes of toys and games to lucky winners. The opportunity gives members the chance to tap into The Genius of Play’s social media following (reaching more than 2 million monthly) and utilize Play All May assets on their own channels to spotlight the importance of play. Last year’s successful Play All May giveaways garnered more than 40,000 entries from consumers.

The Genius of Play will kick off the month-long celebration with a new PSA campaign to be broadcast on TV stations nationwide beginning in April, highlighting the importance of intergenerational play. In addition, The Genius of Play has partnered with 100 YMCAs and 85 afterschool programs across the U.S. to host their own Play All May events and activities throughout the month.
