Mojo Nation Partners with The Toy Association for Virtual Play Creators Festival 2020

mojo-nation-play-creators-festivalMay 8, 2020 | This year’s Play Creators Festival, produced by Mojo Nation in partnership with The Toy Association, will be an expanded virtual event spanning two weeks this September. The festival will include a robust virtual conference line-up and three days of pitch meetings between toy and game companies and design studios, professional inventors, and budding design talent.

“In light of the current situation across the world, ourselves and The Toy Association not only think that going virtual is the best thing to do with regards to the health and safety of all delegates, but it also enables more toy and game companies and inventors from around the world to get involved than ever before,” stated Mojo Nation co-founder Billy Langsworthy in a press release.

The festival will include the Virtual Play Creators Conference (September 1 to 4), the Virtual Mojo Pitch (September 8 to 10), and the Play Creators Awards on September 11. Details about conference content and the dedicated platform that will be used to facilitate pitch meetings will be announced in the coming weeks.

Confirmed companies taking part in the pitch sessions include Hasbro, TOMY, Ravensburger, Rubik’s, Fat Brain Toys, Identity Games, Golden Bear, and Gibsons. Attorneys from Wynne-Jones IP will also be available to meet with inventors and discuss intellectual property protection.

“Creativity and the need for human connection, sharing, and celebration are universal and need not be quelled by an uncertain world, but rather given new opportunities to come about,” said Steve Pasierb, president & CEO of The Toy Association. “The Play Creators Festival has found the freedom to bring together the passion and talent of the global toy, game, and play community for two exceptional weeks by demonstrating the same inventiveness Mojo Nation champions each and every day.”
