PR in a Pandemic: Learn New Strategies for Success

During the one-hour session, communications and media experts will provide toy professionals with tips on how to build and execute a strong media relations plan during the pandemic that resonates with consumers and generates brand exposure. Panelists will discuss how to overcome obstacles tied to the current business and media landscape, such as reduced budgets and teams, unpredictable news cycles, and a lack of live events. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A following the discussion. Questions may be submitted in advance to The Toy Association’s Anne McConnell, senior director of market research & data strategy.

Panelists include Courtney Dempsey, a news anchor and reporter on Good Day Sacramento (CW31); Victoria Fener, COO & co-founder of Clamour; and Rachel Griffin, co-founder of Playwise Partners. Adrienne Appell, senior director of strategic communications at The Toy Association, will moderate.

Registration is now open; the session is free for Toy Association members and $49 for non-members. All toy professionals are invited to attend, although it is specifically recommended for those involved in public relations, marketing, advertising, and social media promotion.
