Reminder: April 15 COVID-19 Member Call on Employment Issues

covid-19-member-call-part-3April 14, 2020 | The Toy Association’s April 15 COVID-19 member call will provide an update on economic stimulus funding options and guidance on employment-related issues resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Registration is free and exclusive to Toy Association members.

The call will begin at 2:30 p.m. (Eastern) with an update on the status of Paycheck Protection Program funding and accessibility as well as any additional new funding information.

The session will then cover options for reducing employee costs (including furloughs, layoffs, and salary reductions); new federal and state employee leave entitlements and unemployment benefits; permissible inquiries and requests for examination of employees; best practices if an employee has suspected or confirmed COVID-19; and best practices and policies for working from home. Members will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with the presenters at the end of the presentation.

Presenters include labor legal counsel Mark Goldberg, partner at Loeb & Loeb LLP, and Ed Desmond, executive vice president of external affairs at The Toy Association, who will also moderate.
