Toy Association Seeks New Toys for Valentine’s Day, Spring & Easter Media Opportunities

January 12, 2021 | Were your products featured in The Toy Association’s 2020 media coverage? With last year’s efforts resulting in 48 TV segments and 21 trade articles that highlighted 219 toy companies, the Association’s team of trends experts is now looking for new playthings to include in upcoming free broadcast and editorial opportunities for spring.

Chosen products will be featured in TV segments in major U.S. markets that spotlight exciting new toys for spring, playthings that encourage kids to get outdoors (even if just exploring their own backyards), as well as great gift ideas for Valentine’s Day and Easter. Products will also be considered for Toy Association-bylined feature articles in dozens of international trade magazines.

Without the usual live events like Toy Fair New York to help boost awareness for toys this time of year, participation in these media opportunities can help keep your toys top of mind as parents look for new playthings to keep kids occupied,” said Adrienne Appell, senior vice president of marketing communications at The Toy Association. “Whether it’s a hands-on learning activity, Easter-themed building toy, or a backyard game that gets the whole family involved, we want to hear from you!”

While there may not be a physical toy show in Q1, The Toy Association’s trends team is also moving ahead with its announcement of the hot trends of 2021 in a virtual version of its annual “Toy Trends Briefing” this February. The presentation uses relevant product examples from toymakers to offer insights into the top toy and youth entertainment trends and discuss the latest developments in play. Toy companies that wish to be considered for inclusion in this free opportunity are invited to complete this product information form by Friday, January 15.

Toy and game suggestions may be sent to Jennifer Lynch. All products must be available at retail and new for spring 2021. If selected, additional shipping instructions will be provided.
