Toy Industry Offers Resources to Connect Buyers with Ready-to-Ship Products
November 29, 2021 | Amid the ongoing supply chain disruptions impacting toy inventory this holiday, The Toy Association, the Toy Book, and Global Toy Experts have each stepped in to offer resources that connect retailers with ready-to-ship product to quickly fill holes and restock shelves.
“We recognize the ongoing pandemic and shipping crisis have an uneven impact on our members, with many small and midsize toy companies and retailers continuing to suffer ill effects, but we also know how important it is to help ensure those who do have product available make connections during this essential holiday selling season,” said Steve Pasierb, president & CEO of The Toy Association. “Resources connecting ready-to-ship products with retailers are making a difference for manufacturers and especially for local main street toy and gift stores that may be looking to fill last-minute holiday gaps as a result of expected delays.”
Toy Fair Everywhere Ready-to-Ship
The Toy Association’s year-round B2B e-commerce platform, Toy Fair Everywhere, features thousands of ready-to-ship items tagged by verified sellers to help retailers stock up on inventory. Created at the height of the pandemic to help the toy industry keep business moving forward, the platform has evolved to provide buyers with the convenience of easily scouting ready-to-ship products 24/7 and placing orders directly with sellers. In addition, the platform continues to roll out special buying events that also highlight specific product categories such as licensed products, learning toys, dolls, and more.
Toy Book’s The Get List
The industry’s leading toy trade publisher, the Toy Book announced “The Get List” just ahead of the Q4 season offering a curated list of products for the season that are available for retailers to “get” right away. Products featured on “The Get List” are, according to the Toy Book, in-stock in U.S. warehouses that retailers can immediately order to receive within a week. The list is updated multiple times a week throughout the holiday season and based on information the Toy Book receives from manufacturers.
Global Toy Experts’ Toy Matchmaker
Global Toy Experts created its Toy Matchmaker to help alleviate empty shelves and out-of-stock issues due to supply chain disruptions. The Toy Matchmaker connects suppliers with inventory in-country with retailers who need toy inventory ASAP.
