TIA’s Washington, DC Fly-In annually brings together toy company representatives, members of Congress and senior government officials for in-person conversations about toy companies and their products, as well as the toy industry’s contributions to local and national economies, and pressing legislative issues. The Fly-In is an important opportunity for companies to make their voices heard as Congress considers legislation that could impact their businesses.
8th Annual DC Fly-In Trains Spotlight on Trade Barriers, TSCA Reform and Toy Safety Issues
June 9, 2015 | Dozens of toy company representatives from across the industry traveled to Washington, DC last week to participate in the Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) 8th annual Washington, DC Fly-In, where they sat down with legislators and regulators to discuss critical issues impacting their businesses.
Over the course of the three-day event, Fly-In participants met with more than 50 Members of Congress as well as policymakers from multiple federal agencies and departments to educate them about TIA companies and their products, as well as the challenges that toy companies of all sizes face, from port congestion and trade barriers to chemical regulation and more.
