8th Annual DC Fly-In

TIA’s Washington, DC Fly-In annually brings together toy company representatives, members of Congress and senior government officials for in-person conversations about toy companies and their products, as well as the toy industry’s contributions to local and national economies, and pressing legislative issues. The Fly-In is an important opportunity for companies to make their voices heard as Congress considers legislation that could impact their businesses.

More than three dozen representatives of toy companies small and large participated in the Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) 7th annual Washington, DC Fly-In last week, where they met with Members of Congress and key decision-makers to encourage support of a federal chemical safety bill and raise awareness about third-party testing burdens and other pressing industry issues.
Highlights from the 2014 agenda included:
An opening “United We Play” reception on Capitol Hill, hosted by TIA and the Toy Industry Foundation;
Meetings with Members of Congress and staff;
Meetings with senior government officials;
Cocktail reception and dinner with guest speaker; and
An important workshop at the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
