9 Diverse Industry Executives Stand for Election to The Toy Association Board

kids in boardroomFebruary 6, 2023 | The Toy Association’s Board Nominating Committee has advanced nine individuals for election to serve on the Board of Directors. The election will be held during the Association’s 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM), conducted virtually via Zoom on Thursday, March 9 at 4 p.m. (Eastern).

Board Chairperson Emeritus Skip Kodak of LEGO Systems Inc., who serves as chairperson of the Nominating Committee, will lead members in attendance in an electronic voting process. Three existing eligible board members have been advanced for election to serve one additional two-year term. They are:

Ashley Mady, President of Consumer Products, Zigazoo

Steve Totzke, President & Chief Commercial Officer, Mattel

Dion Vlachos, Executive Vice President Hardlines & Retail, Paramount

Association board members are elected for two-year terms and may be nominated for re-election twice before being required to depart the board.

Six individuals will stand for election to serve a first term on the board. They are:

Zabina Bhasin M.D., Founder, In KidZ Co

Jared Carr, Senior Vice President & U.S. General Manager, LEGO Systems, Inc.

Lori Dawn Howl, Senior Vice President Retail Development & Marketing, NBCUniversal Media

Hiu Lee, Chief Marketing Officer, Horizon Group USA

Jeremy Padawer, Chief Brand Officer, Jazwares LLC

Lisa Williams PhD, Chief Executive Officer, World of EPI

Kodak will also share results of a vote held by the existing board to elect their 2023-2024 Executive Committee. Current Board Chairperson Aaron Muderick will then review his appointments to serve on the Chairperson’s Advisory Board for the coming year.

During the AGM, members will have the opportunity to review refinements to the Association’s bylaws intended to clarify its North America service area and an addition to codify the existing Audit Committee structure as a formal requirement so that it is maintained as a governance best practice by future generations of board leadership.
