Digital Kids Conference To Provide “Smart Connected Play” Insight and Advantages

February 5, 2016 | The future of “Smart Connected Play” will be explored at the 10th Annual Digital Kids Conference, co-located with Toy Fair at the Javits Center on February 15th and 16th. More than 50 speakers and guests from app/mobile development, children’s entertainment and digital media will host “fireside chats” and seminars that will help professionals navigate the children’s digital world.

Both days of the Conference begin at 9 a.m. Monday’s keynotes will be delivered by Paul Berberian (Sphero) and Michael Nunez (Gizmodo), who will share first-hand experiences about growing a connected-play business. Tuesday’s keynotes feature Kevin Morrow (Samsung) and Nancy MacIntyre (Fingerprint), who will discuss how they created a platform for mobile developers of children’s learning games and books.

Also on Monday, BSM Media CEO Maria Bailey’s “Marketing to Moms” segment will have a special focus on the emergence of the smart toy market. In fact, the smart toy market -- and specifically toys-to-life -- was identified as one of the Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) tech trends for 2016.

“Smart toys continue to carve out a large share of the market and any professional looking to build or improve their products will benefit from the idea exchange at Digital Kids,” said Tonda Bunge Sellers, president of Digital Kids Media. “It’s rare to find so much innovation and talent in one room. With the insight to be shared all attendees should find themselves in advantageous positions to bring their ‘intelligent’ products to market.”

Additional confirmed speakers include guests from: LEGO, Mattel, Spin Master, PBS KIDS Digital, Wonder Workshop, PlayKids, Tinybop, Dr. Panda, Cartoon Network, Google Cardboard, Duck Duck Moose, and more.

All the Conference’s activities will take place in Hall 1E of the Javits Center. For a full list of sessions and speakers, visit the Digital Kids Schedule.
