“ABC World News Tonight with David Muir” Anchor to Host TOTY Awards
February 9, 2016 | David Muir, anchor of “ABC World News Tonight with David Muir,” has been announced as the master of ceremonies for the 16th Annual Toy of the Year Awards (TOTY) ceremony. The event will take place Friday, February 12th at 6 p.m. at the iconic American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
“Just as we welcome him in to our homes on weeknights, we’re thrilled to welcome David as our host for the evening,” said Steve Pasierb, President and CEO of the Toy Industry Association (TIA). “He is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, and his presence adds extra excitement to this year’s already prestigious event.”
The ceremony will honor each of the TOTY winners and celebrate Bob Iger, Chairman & CEO of The Walt Disney Company, as he is inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame. The evening will also support the philanthropic work of the Toy Industry Foundation and spotlight TIA’s 100th anniversary.
