Women in Toys’ Empowerment Day to Kick Off Fall Toy Preview

June 23, 2017 | Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WIT) has announced that it will host its annual WIT Empowerment Day on Monday, October 2 at the Dallas Market Center, the day before Fall Toy Preview opens in Dallas, TX.

Held in collaboration with Walmart, WIT Empowerment Day will include product pitches, mentorship activities, and networking opportunities for professionals in the areas of toys, games, licensing, and entertainment. The goal of the event is to help entrepreneurs, manufacturers, inventors, and others take their businesses and products “to the next level.”

Members of WIT will be able to pitch their products directly to Walmart buyers and top toy companies, including Hasbro, Spin Master, PlayMonster, and Jazwares, for licensing or feedback. (To be eligible to pitch Walmart, products must be currently sold online or in stores, and companies must be at least 51% woman-owned.)

“Ask an Expert” information sessions will also take place, allowing participants to get one-on-one mentoring from experts on e-commerce, crowdfunding, financing, patents and trademarks, packaging, design, marketing and PR, and more. Additional details about Empowerment Day, including registration, can be found online.

All Fall Toy Preview exhibitors and guests with a show badge can attend Empowerment Day’s opening Walmart Buyer Panel, afternoon keynote session, and evening cocktail party.

Produced by The Toy Association, Fall Toy Preview will take place October 3 to 5, 2017 at the Dallas Market Center. Learn more at www.FallToyPreview.org.
