Buy Your Tickets Now for the 2019 Toy of the Year Awards Gala

December 4, 2018 | Tickets are now on sale for 19th annual Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards ceremony, which celebrates the industry’s top toys, games, and licenses in the marketplace. The gala is taking place on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. The TOTY Awards program and event serves as a critical fundraiser for The Toy Foundation, which, since 2003, has provided more than $200 million in toys to over 25 million children in need around the world through generous donors to its signature program, The Toy Bank. 

“As the excitement builds for this year’s TOTY Awards, be sure to reserve your ticket now for a dazzling celebration honoring the creativity, passion, hard work, and philanthropy across the toy industry,” said Ken Seiter, executive vice president of marketing communications at The Toy Association. “Based on feedback from last year’s event, we are starting the evening a half hour later and are once again offering additional networking opportunities through the TOTY afterparty. It’s a night you won’t want to miss!”

This year’s awards will be given in 17 categories. (View the categories online.) Additionally, one product will win the People’s Choice Award, based solely on consumer votes, and another will win the coveted overall Toy of the Year Award, selected by retailers, journalists, and Toy Association members.

Details on this year’s TOTY Awards event:

  • The cocktail networking reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres,followed by a plated dinner and dessert during the award ceremony. Guests will enjoy live entertainment and a special tribute to the Foundation.The ceremony will also commemorate the newest inductees into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame.
  • Following the ceremony, a celebratory networking afterparty will be held from 9:30 to 11 p.m.
  • Tickets for the entire evening cost $395 per person ($3,950 per 10-person table).  Guests may also purchase tickets for the afterparty only for $95.

The event kicks off the 116th North American International Toy Fair taking place February 16 to 19 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
