Genius of Play Launches "Tag, You're It!" Sweepstakes
July 9, 2018 | The Genius of Play has kicked off its "Tag, You're It!" campaign on Instagram and Twitter. Toy companies are encouraged to invite their consumer fans to join the game and show their love of play and playthings.
“Tag, You’re It” encourages parents to share snapshots of their kids at play with #GeniusofPlay and #sweepstakes and tag a friend for a chance to win a $5,000 trip for four to Orlando, FL. To make it easy for companies to spread the word about the sweepstakes, The Genius of Play has created a Promo Assets Guide with key dates, messages, copy, and images that can be used directly or leveraged to create compelling social media posts.
“Research shows that moms are more likely to choose products tied to developmental benefits,” said Anna Yudina, director of marketing initiatives at The Toy Association. “‘Tag, You’re It’ is a great opportunity for toy companies to remind their fans why play is important and encourage them to share pictures of kids playing with their favorite toys.”
More than 20 online influencers, including Scary Mommy and Mommy Shorts, have also committed to promoting “Tag, You’re It!” with their online fans, lending support for The Genius of Play movement to get more kids and families playing together.
