New Webinar: A Look at the U.S. Toy Collectibles Market

September 18, 2018 | Registration is now open for The Toy Association’s upcoming webinar on October 11 at 2 p.m. (Eastern) that takes a deep dive into the U.S. collectibles market.

“Collectibles continue to be hot as kids and adults clamor for popular items including toys in bling bags, regular and rare mini-figures, or those playthings with an unboxing component,” said Anne McConnell, The Toy Association’s senior director of market research and data strategy, and session moderator. “This big trend has reverberated across toy categories and, as a result, The Toy Association has commissioned research by The NPD Group to help companies learn more about this popular sub-segment of toys and who is buying them.”

The one-hour session, titled “The U.S. Toy Collectibles Market: New Research from The NPD Group,” will be presented by Juli Lennett, NPD’s senior vice president and industry advisor of U.S. toys, who will share key findings from the report, including profiles of toy collectors of all ages and their preferences. The session will also explore collectors’ key discovery sources, motivations for collection, uses for the collectibles, retailers of choice, and engagement with key brands by category.

Following the webinar, Toy Association members will have access to the full report in the Research & Data section of the website

All toy industry stakeholders are invited to participate; however the webinar is recommended for professionals involved in the development of marketing, brand management, and advertising initiatives.

Webinars are free for Toy Association members and $49 for non-members. Contact Anne McConnell  with questions regarding this webinar.
