REMINDER: The Toy Association’s AGM to Be Held at Toy Fair New York

February 8, 2019 | Attendees of the 116th North American International Toy Fair are reminded to come to The Toy Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), taking place from 8 to 9 a.m. on Monday, February 18.

During the meeting, Bob Wann, chairman of the Association and chief play monster at PlayMonster LLC; Steve Pasierb, Toy Association president and CEO; and representatives of the Executive Committee, will review the Association’s 2018 activities and fiscal performance, goals for the coming year, and take questions. Toy Association members will vote to elect four toy industry representatives to the Board of Directors for the first time. Chairman Wann will also announce the 2019-2021 Executive Committee and appointees to the Chairman’s Board Advisory Committee.

“The Annual General Meeting is an ideal opportunity for members to learn more about what the Association is doing to protect and promote member companies and the broader toy and play community – both here at home and around the world,” said Pasierb. “As we come together to elect new board members during a time of retail disruption and political uncertainly, it is equally an important time to get involved with your trade Association, ask questions, and connect with your fellow industry peers.”

The AGM is free and open to both members and non-members of the Association. A light breakfast will be served.

The Annual General Meeting is held on-site at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Room 1E09. Live-streaming of the AGM is also planned for those who cannot attend.

Toy Fair will take place February 16 to 19 in New York City. Information about the show’s educational seminars, activities, and other happenings can be found at www.ToyFairNY.com.
