covid19-member-call-seriesApril 7, 2020 | Toy Association members are invited to participate in a second call regarding the various stimulus bills passed by Congress to support companies impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Taking place on Thursday, April 9 at 2:30 p.m. (Eastern), the call will focus on the tax implications of the coronavirus stimulus relief bill (the CARES Act) for toy businesses.

Lisa Heller, senior manager of tax services at RSM US LLP, an audit, tax, and consulting firm, will provide Toy Association members with an overview of key tax changes under the CARES Act and insights for businesses and business owners on payroll tax credits, applying net operating losses (NOLs), interest expense deductions, and more.

This discussion will serve as a follow-up to the call held on April 2, during which Tom Antonucci, partner at Wiley Rein, LLP, presented an overview of the Paycheck Protection Program and other programs available to help small businesses. A recording of the previous call is now available for members.

Registration for the April 9 call is now open. Questions on this topic may be directed to Ed Desmond, The Toy Association’s executive vice president of external affairs.
